ABOUT COALPORT
John Rose founded in 1795 the original Coalport factory in a city of that name in Shropshire, England. They expanded and acquired other potteries as a result of their success in the early 19th century. Rose and his firm garnered acclaim for their technical improvements in manufacturing and leadless glazing.
