Vintage Wooden Jewelry Box; Mahogany W/Hunter Green Velvet Int; Brass Hardware

This beautiful large jewelry box is made of all wood with a dark rich mahogany stain applied. Has a slight bowed design & there are multiple rows of beveling all along the edge of lid & bottom. Locking mechanism on center top with decorative antique brass piece around it but no working key. Antique brass pull with hardware attached to center of the lid which opens to an interior completely lined in a dark hunter green velvet. A 10”x 5” wooden removable compartment lined in same velvet sits in top of interior with four divided sections & six tufted sections. Heavy at 4 lbs, dimensions are 12” L, 7” W, 6 1/4” H, 4 1/4” D. Jewelry box is from 1980’s & in wonderful vintage condition. From age, has few slight faint markings on lid, sides & on edges. No cracks, deep chips or scratches on exterior. Interior in very good condition with only expected markings in velvet from age. No tears, rips, stains. See photos. Gorgeous vintage piece that would look lovely on a vanity, dresser or entryway.
