Here's the book "Halle's Memoirs of a Family Department Store (1891 - 1982)" by James M. Wood. The story of one of the longtime upscale department stores of Cleveland. If you grew up in Cleveland between 1932 and 1982, you likely paid at least a few visits to Halle's. Published in 1987 by Geranium Press and long out of print. 9" X 12", 224 pages. Hardcover book with paper dust jacket. The book is in very good/excellent condition, although the paper dust jacket is in fair/poor condition and has been repaired with tape in a couple of places. Covers in detail the story of Halle's (sometimes called "Halle Brothers") with lots of attention given to the members of the Halle family which owned it. There are a few photos scattered throughout the book, but lots of text containing detailed information about the 91-year history of the store. A great remembrance of this Cleveland institution.
