Up for sale is a good used Gateway Solo 9550 laptop. It's been fully tested, and the only issue is that the battery doesn't hold any charge whatsoever. Not an uncommon problem for a laptop of this age. Otherwise, it performs relatively well.
It features a 1GHz Intel Pentium III-M processor, 256 MB of RAM, GeForce 2 Go graphics, and a 20 GB hard drive. It has a dual-boot setup of Windows XP Home and Windows 98 SE! Comes with the original charger. Has a built-in floppy & DVD drive, USB ports, parallel, serial, VGA, Ethernet and two CardBus slots. There is no WiFi, you'd need to add an adapter for such a thing although going online isn't ideal with such an oldie.
Note that the Windows 98 install asks for a login password - just hit enter, it's blank. Also the PowerQuest BootMagic software for dual-boot is configured thru this OS.
