Relief Hand painted in a pretty floral design with blended color tones.
In Lovely Condition with no chips or cracks
Approx: 11" T x 9" at the widest point x 4" at the base weighing 4 Pounds.
A bit of History:
Relief painting is a technique that creates a slight raised effect, or relief, over the surface of an object. In the case of a ginger jar, the flowers are painted slightly raised in relief over a stencil underglaze.
Mid late 20th Century is 1940-1960
Polychrome" literally means "many colors," so when applied to porcelain, it refers to decoration using multiple colors.
