Snowshoes made by Floyd Westover between 1964 and 1968 in Gloversville NY. Floyd was the sole proprietor of his company and made the snowshoes by hand. He was the first to combine the bear paw and beavertail designs into what is now called the "Westover Modified Bearpaw" which has a slightly upturned toe. These can be placed between 1964 and 1968 because in 1964 Westover switched to neoprene lacing on his snow shoes and in 1968 he sold out to Snocraft. These bear Floyd's mark and you can't also make out "14x35" on the tail which are the measurements. These are truly a piece of Americana!
