Vintage 1970s Black Variegated Jasper Snuff Bottle

The snuff bottle carver did a extremely good job in presenting this jasper bottle. He started with the darkest region of the stone and made it the neck and bottle top and the color fades as the bottle tapers towards a wide raised oval foot. He picked a similar dark material as the cap and added a red color disc as accent. The cap has a cork stopper and a wood spoon. The bottle has great presence and by having the dark color as the top, the bottle does not look heavy at all. It is matched with a black stone stopper on a red disk
