Amazing and wonderfully complex etched Beryl var. Aquamarine floater from Teófilo Otoni, Mucuri Valley, Minas Gerais, Brazil!
Interesting light seafoam green/ blue Aquamarine floater crystal with all different types of really interesting etching. Pattern like etching on top and the sides have watery like etching, some speckled type of etching, some almost skeletal type of etching, along with quite a bit of hexagonal reverse etching, where other crystals once existed within this specimen. As a floater, there’s some contacting around the top edges, mainly one healed with porous white inclusion, next to some slight damage on the top edge. There’s some rainbows from internal fractures and other inclusions as well. Beautiful pastel color, good clarity and high luster on all but 2 sides. Comes already mounted on an acrylic base, ready for display. Much better in person!
