Antique Karl Hartman 17" Bisque Socket Head Composition & Wood Body Smartly Dres

If the clothes truly make the doll then this Karl Hartman 17" doll is a perfect example. This bisque socket head doll is a beauty. Please note there is a hairline or kiln crack in the back of her neck as shown in the pictures. No flaws on the bisque and the composition has been sealed to prevent any loss. The back of her head is incised with what looks like mold 25 on the top inside of the H and 4/0 on the bottom inside of the H. The wig is replaced and a great choice of wigs was made. I do not know what the style is called but it reminds me of Princess Leah in Star Wars. She has blue glass sleep eyes with an open mouth and 4 teeth.

Very nicely dressed in a beige raw silk skirt and a silk lined jacket. Her sheer off white blouse has a couple of rust stains which are hidden by her jacket. Underneath she is wearing an off white slip and pantaloons with with knee high stockings and brown leather button shoes.. VERY SHARP.
