Amazing antique hand atlas with full size color maps and diagrams, written in German.
95 maps
Issued 1879-1882 under the direction of Hermann Berghaus, Vogel and Hermann Habenicht (1844–1917). Although the printing industry had already changed to lithography for some time, some maps in Stieler's Atlas were still reproduced by copper-plate printing on hand presses with hand colouring into the 1890s.

Complete Pages are in excellent condition, bright colors and print, little to no distressing.
Cover is disintegrating and tattered; in need of restoration. Colorant and finish is rubbing off into powder.
