Beautiful vintage long tartan kilt made in Great Britain exclusively for Sakowitz luxury department store. Sakowitz opened in 1902 and closed in 1990. This tag is an older design but I can not establish a firm date on production of kilt.
Kilt is made traditionally with a wrap-around design. The seam is worn to the left, showing it was designed for women. Traditional kilted skirt with pleating at the back creating movement and swing of a kilt. With a flat apron at the front
One pin is included, but there are small holes lower on kilt showing there was another pin.
Hook and eye clasps keep wrap in place, along with two buckles and aforementioned pin.
There is no tag that shows size of skirt. However, a typical size 12 has a 32 inch waist, as does this kilt. Please use measurements for proper fit.
