This is a beautiful antique (c. 1890s-1910s) celluloid covered wood collar and cuff box. The lid and front have a printed image of a moon over a lake in the forest. The lid is accented with a raised filigree and floral pattern. The interior is lined with what appears to be royal purple silk, and there are two stains inside. The fabric where the lid opens has torn, as well. There are a few areas where the celluloid is trying to come off, and the wood is exposed on one back corner. The bottom of the box is lined with black leather. Overall, considering the box's age, it is still in rather good shape and would make for an excellent condition to one's collection.
