First American edition, first printing hardcover copy of Roald Dahl’s Book of Ghost Stories by Roald Dahl (Farrar Straus & Giroux, 1983). Collection of horror / supernatural / thriller / suspense ghost stories, intended for young and grown adults. Tanning jacket mildly rubbed and with shelf wear around the edges, now protected in new (removable) archival sleeve. Boards straight and clean but with bumped corners. Binding is firm and spine remains fairly straight. Liquid damage causing staining to fore edge of text block near bottom of book, foxing to top outer edge, and general heavy tanning to all pages. Previous owners embossed personal stamp to half title page. See photos for condition.
