This unusual piece of vintage fashion from the 1930s' consists of a tall, folded crown trimmed with small gold disks and pearls on the front of the crown. Surrounding the crown, the short brim is folded to one side, slightly covering one eye...which was the fashion of the day. There is a black veil, which can be worn over the face of placed on the brim. NOTE: There is a small repair on the edge of the veil, as pictured in photo #10.Women’s hats in the 1930s covered the hair and were used to mysteriously cover one eye or the forehead. There is no label, indicating it was a custom-made creation.This is an authentic piece of fashion history! This hat is in wonderful vintage condition & has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years. Feathers, straw, flowers & veils are fragile, given their age.
