SMART 1930s' DARK COBALT BLUE FELT HAT + BLUE/RED/BURGUNDY FEATHERS & NAVY VEIL

This outstanding sample of high fashion hat styles from the 1930's is made of a dark cobalt blue felt. It consists of an oval shape that is covered with matching blue and burgundy feathers. At the top center there is a spray of curled burgundy feathers plus a burgundy and black taller feather. The hat is covered in navy veiling, which is tied at the back and streams down. A unique feature is the asymmetrical felt bands at the back. Usually hats of this era just have 2 straps, but this hat has a third one at one side, connecting the band with the hat...see photos.There is also a red "jewel" and feather at one side. Women’s 1930s hats were small and simple in decoration, yet their shaping was a work of art. Folded, molded, and angled felt made hats look like something out of a Picasso painting.Label: Consumers Protection Label, size 22There is no label, indicating it was a custom-made creation.This is an authentic piece of fashion history!
