Hirado zaiku is a type of silverware that was introduced to Hirado, Nagasaki by the Dutch during the Edo period. This technique involves skillfully twisting extremely fine silver wire, measured in fractions of a millimeter, to create intricate openwork patterns. The unique elegance of pure silver's luster and its splendid designs have been especially prized.
This item also features delicate silverwork adorned with an elegant green gemstone. It is in very clean condition, with no scratches, dirt, or wear. It bears the silver mark of 860. The gemstone is hematite (peacock stone). I believe this is a rare item that is not easily obtainable.
The dimensions are as follows: tie pin 1.3 cm x 1.3 cm, cufflinks 1.6 cm x 1.6 cm.
Although it is new and unused, it is a stored item, so I ask for understanding from potential buyers.
