Vintage Courting Couple Fragonard Lusterware Porcelain Sugar-Creamer Set by Romeo & Juliet, most likely Royal Japan and made in the 1930's-1940's.
Each piece has a Fragonard-style courting couple sitting on a bench in a lush garden and wearing 18th century fine clothing. Set is in very nice vintage condition.
Courting Couple motif inspired by the artwork of Jean Honore Fragonard (French painter, 1732-1806).
Gold gilted floral embellishments, handles and trimmed edges.
Beautiful pearlescent lusterware has an opalescent, iridescent appearance.
No cracks or crazing. Minimal wear.
