Preowned, vintage Norma Kamali parachute jacket, likely made in the early 80s. Made from Khaki green nylon fabric with a color block pattern of tan, it features vertical silken cords throughout, allowing one to scrunch, gather and adjust the length and looks on sections of the coat body, collar and sleeves (see all of our photos, where we show several different looks).Lightweight and easy to wear, the it fastens with a chunky zipper and is unlined. Perfect for stowing in an overnight bag or suitcase when traveling - it's chic, unusual and can be styled and worn in so many ways!Norma Kamali has been designing for nearly five decades and has created several iconic looks throughout her career. The idea for the "parachute" collection was born after Victor Hugo (Halston's partner and window dresser), gave her the parachute fabric that eventually became the inspiration for dresses, jackets, coats and even jumpsuits!Tagged NORMA KAMALI OMO. Approximate measurements: shoulders - 16in, bust - 38in, waist - 30in, hips - 39in, shoulder to hem (without cinching) - 42in; sleeves (without cinching) - 24in.Preowned/vintage (40+ years old) with minimal signs of age, use and prior wear: some of the vertical cords have been knotted several times over by a previous owner. These can be unknotted but we'll leave that to the new owner.
