I own several Vansons in their competition weight and this hide is not much thinner. It should have excellent abrasion resistance. Schott uses leathers that have nothing on this, I consider their jackets to be fashion jackets and not serious equipment for riding. This jacket however, I do consider actual riding equipment.As stated WORN ONCE. This Jacket is nowhere near being broken in.This jacket has been tailored to fit a lean athletic physique: it has been taken in at the waist while retaining its 42" chest circumference.
