Notable for being registered in the office of the Librarian of Congress in 1872, a year before Livingstone's death in 1873 - information about this then seems to be added on at the end prior to publication. - Black and white engraving illustrations throughout - 615 pages - Good condition for age. Cover has surface wear, most notably some damage to the spine, however the gold and black embossing is still excellent. Pages have overall even yellowing; some pages have foxing marks and darker discoloration. Binding is in good state; part of the spine is exposed at front page. Measurements: 7 7/8" x 5 1/2" x 1 7/8"
