Vintage 17J Breitling Cordura Automatic

Superb example of Cordura / Sicura JUMBO self-winding Sports watch. Gorgeous blue Sun Ray dial. Tritium hands and dial are exceptionally clean. Watch dates to the 1970's. Inside is the original Swiss BFG 158 AUTOMATIC mechanism with Day / Date complication. A very large watch for the period a truly Modern size today at about 42MM case width. Period correct folded links bracelet really suits this watch and should fit most wrists up to 7-1/2+. Working as designed and Day / Date was tested and advances correctly. Can't reasonable fault. These were a house brand of Breitling and sold thru US distribution like Caravelle was to Bulova or Vantage was to Hamilton. Great daily wear watch. Serviced and ready to wear.
