This vintage signed piece is in very nice condition for its age, with the pendant displaying beautifully . There tiny, dark, marks on the forehead , which appear to be a from the factory rather than a from wear or use. Seems all of these pendants have the marks.I only mention this for full transparency. Please refer to the photos to assess it for yourself.Come with its original 30” silk cord. The piece is a culturally conscious and historically intriguing accessory to your wardrobe when you wear this unique miniature piece of art direct from New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art (MMA). This figural pendant in the form of a mask depicting a young Japanese man's face is a signed MMA re-creation of a traditional Japanese mask netsuke. A netsuke is a toggle used to attach a pouch or case to a kimono sash in traditional Japanese attire. A mask netsuke is a netsuke that is created as a miniature depiction of the masks worn in traditional Japanese dance-dramas. This re-creation of a mask netsuke has been made into a pendant for increased fashion enjoyment. ❓Ask questions before buying.📸Orders are photographed before, during and after packing..
