Unique and beautifully detailed new find of barite and marcasite from the Lubin Mine in Poland. Only a small amount of these mineral conglomerates were able to be extracted before the cavity was closed off, making these pieces highly collectible. The fully natural specimen features a carved slab that’s face been hand polished to a glossy shine that shows off the intricate color bands, swirls and lace like patterns. The edges have been left raw and natural. The baryte displays coloration that ranges between cream, light gold, white, and beige while the mirror like marcasite is metallic silver. The barite is also UV fluorescent and has a bright yellow orange glow under UV lighting. An excellent Polish display specimen that measures approx 5.5 by 4cms wide and tall, about 1cm thick and and weighs 59 grams.
