Vintage late 40's/early 50's black crepe dress featuring a high collar with keyhole detail, wide waist band with horizontal pleats, pleated skirt, 1/2-3/4 sleeves, beautiful knot style buttons, and size zip. No size tag, best fits anywhere from an XS-S, please check measurements below to ensure proper fit as the dress has NO stretch.

Dress is by Kenneth Tischler. I couldn't find out much about this designer, only that his fashions were written about and featured in Vogue several times throughout the 40's and 50's. An American sportswear designer, he had a storefront in the garment district in NYC. He and his wife were also large contributors and patrons to The Costume Institute at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
