Mallika mangoes are a hybrid of the Dasheri and Neelum mango varieties from India, introduced in the 1970s by Dr. Ramnath Singh.
They are known for their high quality, fiberless fruit, which is sweet with notes of citrus, melon, and honey. The fruit is oblong and flat, with skin that can be canary yellow to pink, and weighs between 1018 ounces. When fully ripe, the flesh is deep orange, silky, and creamy, with a rich flavor.
