What's old is new again. Carved lion intaglio onyx signet ring. Oval onyx slice, set in sterling silver, stamped RL 925. Size: 6.5, weight 8.2 grams, with a ridged band. The signet ring is traditionally offered by the father to his children when they reach 18, to honor the family legacy. In France, men wear them on the left ring finger (with the wedding ring) if he’s the oldest son. In England, on the little finger. Ladies may wear it on any finger, or hand. No matter the country, or sex, it symbolizes family heritage.
