SALE Amazing Antique Victorian Jacket Leg o Mutton Sleeves

SALEA very fine, very amazing Victorian era jacket or waist. In midnight blue moire' fabric. it declares its 1890's style with its huge leg o' mutton sleeves. It has a 2" stand up collar. A shallow blue, plain weave fabric yoke leads to the 7" moire' capelet, with Van Dyke point and curve to the back where the Van Dyke is repeated. The fitted bodice is closed with 16 hooks/eyes to a weskit style point at the front and back. The star as one can plainly see are the leg o' mutton sleeves which lead to a straight finish from the elbow to the wrist. It islined in a chestnut color cotton.Hand applied covered metal stays keep the shape.No maker labelSize: no size label--keep in mind that Victorian women seem to have been tiny, especially through the torso. The following measurements are approximate and taken lying flat and doubled.Bust-29"; 22" waist; 22 1/2" lower circumference; 17 1/2" long; 12 1/2" across back.Condition: very good for age.
