Antique Red Block Glass 3 piece set: Butter Dish, Creamer & Sugar Bowl 1892 Us Glass Butter dish is 5 5/8" tall and 6 1/4" in diameter. Creamer The 10 oz creamer stands 4 1/4" tall.Sugar Dish no lid small chip AntiqueRed Block round made by US Glass circa 1892. A nice piece of EAPG - early American pressed glass. This clear glass and red flash features the red block pattern that looks like a polka dotted pattern features red flashed glass . This antique piece is round and has 2clearglass handles The top has a tall knob on the lid that has 6sides. While the 6pieces may look like they are round, the raised 6flash pieces on the lid and sides are all a hexagon shapes as well. The hexagons are inside diamond cut shapes making them stand out even more. Thetop edge of the bowl of this jar has a red flashed glass collar with a scalloped bottom edge. 41/2" high without the Base is 3 1/4” What is flashed glass,Flashed glass (or flash on glass) is a process that was used in the art glass trade as a cheaper method making glass.
