Early reprint (edition and print number not stated) hardcover copy of The Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum (Bobbs-Merrill Company, ca. 1940). Copyright page says 1903 but this copy was likely printed around 1940. Front cover has the title as “The Original Oz Book: The Wizard of Oz” and title page has “The New Wizard of Oz” as the title. With black, white, yellow and orange illustrations by W. W. Denslow. Pictorial endpapers with images from the film. Pictorial front cover. Mild rubbing to boards with corners slightly bumped. Some wear along spine edges. Binding is firm though spine is ever so slightly cocked. Tanning pages that are otherwise clean and unmarked. See photos for condition.
