THIS BAR PIN PURCHASE IN BOMBAY INDIA IN 1972
THE LETTER D IS MADE UP OF 100% NATURAL PEARLS EACH 1mm. ROUND THEY ARE A CREAM WHITE MATCHED IN COLOR. THE PIN WOULD HAVE BEEN MADE AS EARLY AS THE 1600's BUT MOST LIKELY IN THE 1800's WHEN THE BRITS WERE MOSTLY IN CONTROL AND MADE AS A GIFT OR A PERSONS SELF.
THERE ARE NO MAKERS MARKS OR k GOLD. I HAVE TESTED WITH ACID DIRECT TO THE METAL. IT IS 18k GOLD. I ALSO TESTED FOR 14k & 22k AND CONFIRM IT IS NOT.
NOTICE BOTH ENDS OF THE BAR PIN ARE TURNED IN CIRCLES. ONE END THERE IS A SLIGHT SEPARATION THE BAR PIN SLIDES THROUGH FOR THE CATCH. I USED A DIME FOR SIZE IN THE PHOTO. WE HAVE 2 SARPECH TO HOLD FEATHERS
