Aki, accompanied by her mother Haruko, visits Northern Sanriku for the first time and meets her grandmother Natsu, who is still an active Ama (female diver). She decides to become an Ama herself. As she continues her Ama training, Aki becomes a local idol and is scouted to join the idol group GMT47, which brings together local idols from all 47 prefectures. She heads to Tokyo, dreaming of the spotlight, and sweats it out singing and dancing as an aspiring idol. Will Aki's debut day ever come?
