Vintage Six Piece Wooden Nesting Box Toy Set

This here is a wonderful Vintage Wooden Nesting Box Toy Set. This set consists of six boxes, one fitting into the next, just like the Russian nesting dolls. Each box has painted images on the four sides. These images consist of animals, toys, bugs, gnomes and children. My own personal favorite is the hedgehog smoking the pipe. The smallest box, which is solid, measures appr 1 3/8” by 1 3/8”, with the sizes graduating to the largest at 4 5/8” by 4 5/8”. This set, which I believe to be from around the 1960s or so, is in good condition showing minor wear from age and handling. Very minor surface wear is seen in spots, with some light surface scratching or scuffing being seen to the tops of a few of the boxes, examples of which I’ve shown in photos. I’ve included as many photos as permitted so please examine photos closely to properly determine condition. Overall, a very nice set that would make an excellent addition to any vintage toy collection.
