What is the rarest color Garnet? If you look it up you will find that it is blue. Have you ever seen a blue Garnet? If you have you are one of the few who have. Up until recently the small find in Bekily Madagascar was the only deposit of Blue Garnet ever discovered in the world. A very special Garnet deposit was recently found in Tanzania that unearthed a small amount of Blue Garnets....but these were color shifting Blue to Purple Garnets which had never been seen before! As one might imagine these are extremely rare to find on the market and fetch enormous prices when you do find them. Aside from being an extremely rare gem they are extremely beautiful gemstones as well. In sunlight they have a superior brilliance and sparkle intensely making them eye catching despite their small size. Most gems you will find are under 1 carat...unless you want to mortgage your house!
