The Swatch x Damien Hirst Mirror Spot Mickey is a watch that was designed in collaboration by Swiss watchmaker Swatch and celebrated British artist Damien Hirst. The face features a reimagination of iconic Disney cartoon character Mickey Mouse, rendered as a pattern of circles in his classic base colors, and the abstracted Mickey Mouse design extends onto the watch band as a series of close view circles.
The Swatch x Damien Hirst Mirror Spot Mickey is part of Swatch’s limited and numbered Art Special series, and was created to celebrate Mickey Mouse’s 90th birthday. The Mirror Spot Mickey was produced in a limited edition of 19,999 numbered pieces and references a canvas painting made using household gloss that Hirst executed in 2012, when he was invited by Disney to make art inspired by Mickey Mouse.
