This is a spectacular navy straw hat from the 1970s'! The round, short crown extends back under the wide brim creating a "cap" to hold the hat in place. There is a gold thread and sequin band around the crown, and at the front there is a navy piece of crin creatively placed to house knotted thick cording that has been covered in shiny gold threads.
