What a magnificent fashion statement from the 1930s'! This is hat is made of floppy felt, which is most comfortable to wear. It consists of a rounded crown, sewn in the middle, and indented on the sides, so it looks like a double brim from the top.The actual brim is upturned and asymetrical in shape. There are several gorgeous black iridescent rooster feathers emerging from folds in the hat. It is a stunning look! Women’s 1930s hats were small and simple in decoration, yet their shaping was a work of art. Folded, molded, and angled felt made hats look like something out of a Picasso painting.There is no designer label, indicating it was a custom-made creation.This is an authentic piece of fashion history! This hat is in wonderful vintage condition & has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years. Feathers, straw, flowers & veils are fragile, given their age.
