CLASSIC 1930s' NAVY CLOCHE WITH ROYAL BLUE BAND/BOW + JEWEL BROOCH

This is a classic hat shape from the 1930s' made of navy felt. The crown has a pointy shape, but with unusual folds at the front, in a V shape, while square on top. The crown is surrounded by a shiny royal blue band that Neds in a bow at the back. At the front there is a gold/blue brooch. The brim is floppy, and is bent so it covers one eye. This hat is simply stunning!Women’s 1930s hats were small and simple in decoration, yet their shaping was a work of art. Folded, molded, and angled felt made hats look like something out of a Picasso painting. Women’s hats in the 1930s covered the hair and were used to mysteriously cover one eye or the forehead. Cloche hats or otherwise called slouch hats were a very fitted hat usually made of a felt material that were bell shaped. The front brim could be floppy or sturdy and was used to cover the forehead and eyes. Hats were normally worn asymmetrically & slightly tilted or propped to one side of the head.Label: Size 22/ Consumer protection label.There is no designer label, indicating it was a custom-made creation.This is an authentic piece of fashion history!
