•Beautiful hand carved wood two sided face sculpture •Acquired years ago from an estate•Family said carving was believed to have been done by an African American man in South Carolina•However, it has the look of fine Balinese carving from Indonesia•It's a fine piece, no matter where it's from!•The features of the two faces are quite expressive•The faces are distinctly different•The artist was clearly very talented and I would have loved to have more pieces made by him•It is made of a thick, dense wood - it weighs almost 5 lbs•It is 13½ inches tall and 4 inches wide•There is a crack in one side of the carving - not unusual with with older wood pieces•Great piece to add to your collection!
