Matzie Velvet Touch Brass Magic blade putter from the early 1950s. All original parts, good condition for age. This very rare model is ready for play today with no modification needed.
-Brass head has nice natural patina. Some bag chatter as you'd expect but no major gouges and the contract area is solid.
-Steel shaft (rare gold color) has minor pitting but is true, no kinks or bends.
-Golf Pride LineRite rubber grip, excellent condition for age. If you see older putters with the same grip it's usually heavily worn and full of cracks and crumbles. This grip is 100% intact and while it shows some age, it's hard to believe it's nearly 70 years old.
This is a great piece of golf history, Matzie's putters have won all four majors and were made in USA. Great collector's item, there are plenty of other Matzie models available online but I couldn't find this one anywhere. Priced accordingly and I ship quickly so you can buy with confidence.
