Vintage READING PREMIUM LIGHT BEER tin metal chalkboard sign. Bottom edge reads “Reading Brewing Company, Reading, PA. No. 64-8”. Estimate this rare sign dates to about the 1950s. Reading Brewing Company dates to 1886 and was headquartered in Reading, PA. It ceased operations in 1976 and was purchased by C. Schmidt & Sons Brewing Company. Sign is in good overall condition with some wear from age and use. Displays Well!! Original paint loss and some surface rust as shown. Scratches and a few very minor dents to chalkboard section of the sign as shown. Mounting holes along top edge for easy wall hanging. Sign measures about 21 7/8” x 15 7/8”.
