Designers Patrick Groenendaal & Stanley Steinberg creation used multiple materials and knit patterns in this unique piece reminiscent of the 80's-90's sweaters worn on the Cosby show. Despite Bill Cosby's fall from grace these sweaters are immensely popular. This particular brand does not get mentioned in my research but there are some very similar designs from Cosby's archives. (He did not use Coogi's on the show either and they're $500 now) This particular sweater is in really nice condition. Doesn't have any snags or pull-tights. It's a dry clean item. It has an interesting very vintagy checklist style garment tag that reveals cotton, rayon & linen as the components. USA made! Wahoo! Chest:(armpits) 27" across. Length:29"; Shoulders are not defined. Rib knit hem is 41" around but remember its a stretchy knit. NEWS FLASH!! In a 1988 article in the LA times(10/14/88 by Rose-Marie Turk) Marienbad co-owner said, when Cosby "wore a few of our sweaters last year on the show, a lot of stores turned on to us". Also in the story was a mention of the $300-$500 price tag IN 1988! (price of gas was $.90)
