A priceless piece of Americana! Babe Ruth played for the Boston Redsox during 1918 when he gifted his mentor Mr Matthias known as (Monk) at St. Mary's Industrial School of MD this very pocket watch. Pitcher, RUTH was a very generous person as he even gifted him a Cadillac twice after the first one stalled on the train tracks and was hit by a locomotive. Brother Monk Matthias his father figure as he taught Ruth baseball at seven years old. His first year living at the orphanage when his guardians could no longer take care of him do to running and operating a local pub. This watch is a historical relic and others have sold for a million dollars at auction. The backside of the watch has SSS which is symbol for catholic order...as Monk Matthias was a priest at St. Mary's Industrial School. Firm.
