This figural metal sculpture portrays a rolly polly early golfer in period gear, including high-waisted knickers, scally cap and pipe clenched in his grinning mouth. A golf ball sits at his feet, he carries a large golf bag - where the matches go - and his left hand forms a ring to rest the pipe stem in.
Bottom front of the base identifies him as Peter Putter
