Vintage Berea College Student Craft Wood Tic-Tac-Toe Game Appalachian Folk Art

A wonderful piece of American folk art and history, this vintage tic-tac-toe game was handcrafted by a student at the renowned Berea College in Berea, Kentucky. It is a classic example of the quality and charm of the Berea College Student Industries program.The game is cleverly designed from a solid block of hardwood with a hand-drawn grid and nine recessed playing spaces. A unique swiveling side piece reveals a hidden compartment that neatly stores the complete set of black and white glass marble playing pieces.Condition: Good vintage condition. This well-loved game shows authentic, visible surface wear, light scratches, and some marks consistent with its age and use. All parts are intact and the swivel compartment moves smoothly.
