While a number of the most renowned film classics of Hollywood’s Silent Film Era have uninteresting, poorly designed movie posters, some of the lesser known films have the most captivating & thrilling artwork for their movie posters. Such is the case here. This vintage, original poster for Chapter 16 of the 1922 adventure film serial entitled “The Adventures of Robinson Crusoe” has richly designed artwork. The 18 episode film serial directed by Robert F. Hill starring Harry Myers & Noble Johnson is based on the 1719 English adventure Novell. The film serial is now considered to be a lost film. The film poster condition is magnificent for being over 100 years old!
This original, vintage & authentic 1-Sheet (27 X 41 ) is in very fine-near mint condition & is linen-backed. While there are a couple very minor chips in the fold lines & light fold wear, the exciting & thrilling artwork on this poster rivals a high-end painting & displays excellently despite the minor imperfections.
