Antique Edwardian Black Wool Walking Suit

Edwardian walking suit consisting of jacket and skirt in a black wool crepe (?), with a subtle floral weave. The fabric has a somewhat crinkly texture and some stretch. Bordered in bands of soutache, with additional soutache and braiding down bodice and at sleeve cuffs.Jacket has deep v neck to Tudor waist, where it fastens with hooks and eyes. Jacket is lined in boned, black polished cotton that closes with hooks & eyes and has band of fabric at neckline, with no closure. Princess seams at back.Floor length skirt is A-line at front, gathered in deep folds at back for fullness. 3 bands of black cotton adorn the hem. Skirt is completely lined in black polished cotton. Closes with hooks & eyes at back. There are additional eyes for hooking jacket to skirt, but no corresponding hooks on jacket waist. A couple of fabric loops at waist, maybe for hanging?
