Madame Alexander McGuffey Ana Princess Elizabeth 13 Inch Composition Doll 1937
This Madame Alexander McGuffey Ana (using the Princess Elizabeth face) doll is a true gem from 1937. With beautiful strawberry blonde braided hair, blue eyes that open and close, and a light complexion, this 13-inch doll is a must-have for any collector. The doll is made of composition material and comes with a sweet holiday outfit.
McGuffey Ana is based on the characters from the McGuffey Reader books. The Princess Elizabeth face is a portrait of the toddler Queen Elizabeth. I completely restored Ana, repairing her crazed composition and restringing her. I gave her a unique Christmas outfit: she wears a slip dress and cape from her period; the rest of her clothes are more modern vintage replacements from the 80s. One of her shoes is missing its cardboard heel.
