There is elastic on the interior and a snap on the exterior (heel is separate piece, it's not all one piece of leather) when fitting your foot into the clog. I personally think, these would be best suited for someone who identifies as a 9.5. The fit is definitely a foot hugger, so adjust expectations! I do love them and the leather will only get softer over time.
