Incredibly rare novel examining prejudice and racism through the eyes of a black expatriate who left racism in the US and witnessed a deferent kind of prejudice while in Paris. By the author of Last of the Conquerers.
An ex-library copy with related stamps, sticker removal blemishes to endpapers and interior of jacket at liner flap edges and marker streak to bottom outer edge of text block. Jacket now protected in new (removable) archival sleeve. Boards worn and with darkening to top and bottom edges. Corners bumped and with some tearing/wear to edges and corners. Cocked spine with a few instances of split binding. Staining to several pages, mostly towards outer edges from various readers’ spills and blemishes from handling. See photos for condition.
