Lenox Pencil Santa - The Czar of Christmas - 1999A Santa in the Russian Orthodox tradition (pre-Soviet).Original box is not included.Lenox created several of these unique Pencil Santas each year from 1995 to 2019. All range from 11 to 13 inches in height and are very slender. Most all are based on various renditions of Santa from around the world, primary Europe and Asia. The European depiction of Santa is not the rotund "Jolly Old Elf" of North America, but the more severe ascetic look based on tales of St. Nicolas.They are very collectible and easy to display due to their shape. Many were distributed through the various TV sales channels in the 90late 's and early 2000s.
